

Anyhow, if any of you are having problems with this, here is a post from the IGN boards that actually corrected my problem (I will post in the OP): From there, you can edit your profile and stuff. Since Gamespy is pretty much gone and you cannot download the Gamespy application from their site, you have to go to cNet and grab it.

To answer my own post above, I have found a solution to the Gamespy problem and I thought I would share. Step 6: Configure your resolution in your video options to your desired resolution, then start a game! \Īnd the best part is :: No need to disable any sounds for this!!"

Step 3: Right click your newly made shortcut and click "Properties" Step 2: Make a shortcut of the file titled "BattlefrontII.exe" (put it on the desktop) Step 1: Go to folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\star wars battlefront ii\GameData\ Ok, enough talk, here are the steps that I took: I thought to myself, "Let's see if there is a way to play in a window and see if the window stays up" Sure enough, I googled the information and voila! The game loaded a mission and loaded a multiplayer map! I was so finally relieved. When it crashed to the desktop, it still had the taskbar icon at the bottom like it was still active. Ok, it seems my copy of BFront 2 was not working due to being in full-screen mode. (Note: I hope you don't mind playing in a window) Read below for some possible steps to get yours working.

"Ok, I finally fixed my Battlefront 2 game without having to disable any sounds!! I am on Windows 7 Home edition as well. Right click anywhere in the main box and check show disable devices. Right Click on the sound icon in the quickbar. I have sound thanks to forester on lucas arts support forum I have my headphones plugged into my motherboard's sound input and the game works for me.
